Abstract
3,5-Dibromo-2-methoxybenzoic acid was isolated from sea spongeDidiscus sp. The structure of the title compound was established by spectral methods, by X-ray diffraction analysis, and by comparing with a synthetic sample prepared from salicylaldehyde.
