Summary

Interactions of nucleosides and nucleotides with metalloporphyrins have been utilised for HPLC separation of these species with silica-based stationary phases with immobilized tetraphenylporphyrins metallated with Zn(II) and Cu(II). Under optimised elution conditions of phosphate buffer, pH 3, and sodium sulphate gradient a satisfactory separation of adenosine nucleotides has been obtained.
