Summary

A separation method for Bt toxic protein CrylAb from Bt transgenic rice (Ke Ming Dao) by ion-exchange chromatography has been developed and validated. Bt transgenic rice-extract containing CrylAb toxic protein is the matrix for separation. The method has a good reproducibility and is easy to operate. It was shown that the Bt fraction isolated by chromatography had high insecticidal activity.
