Summary
In this study a high-performance liquid chromatography method was developed for the determination of procyanidin dimers B1, B2, B3, B4 and procyanidin trimers C1 and T2 in white wine using fluorescence detection. This method allowed analysis of white wine with no prior treatment. Limits of quantification were form 12 μg.L−1 to 16 μg.L−1. Reproductibility data for replicate analysis was measured and the CV was less than 4.5%. This method was used for the determination of these compounds in six French white wines.
