Large eddy simulation of fully developed turbulent flow in a curved channel

Abstract

In this paper large eddy simulation of the fully developed turbulent flow in a curved channel is carried out. The computational results are presented and compared with the experimental results of Eskinazi and Yeh[1]. It is shown that the numerical results of the present LES are reliable and the influence of the curvature on the turbulence feature is correctly revealed.
