Ingenieur-Archiv Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

Assuming the human skull to be an isotropic homogeneous viscoelastic prolate spheroidal shell and the brain to be a homogeneous viscoelastic fluid, the stresses in the skull due to three various types of pulse loading for different load-durations have been reported in the present paper.
