Summary
We describe a patient with a sagittal fracture of the second cervical vertebral without neurological involvement. The mechanism is likely to be axial compression and lateral displacement. The fracture was treated in a Minerva plaster cast.
Résumé
Nous présentons le cas d'une fracture du corps de l'axis (C2) sans atteinte neurologique. La compression verticale et le déplacement latéral sont probablement le mécanisme de cette lésion. La fracture a été traitée orthopédiquement par une minerve jusqu'à consolidation.
