The role of radiation therapy in vertebral hemangiomas without neurological signs

Summary

We describe 5 patients with vertebral haemangiomas treated by radiotherapy of 30–40 Gy, 2–3 Gy/day. The management of vertebral haemangiomas is discussed.

Résumé

Il n'existe qu'un petit nombre de publications sur le traitement par irradiation des hémangiomes vertébraux symptomatiques. Nous présentons 5 malades traités dans notre hôpital par cobaltothérapie à la dose de 30 à 40 Gy, 2 à 3 Gy par jour. La littérature concernant le traitement des hémangiomes vertébraux est discutée dans cet article.
