Magnetostatic stresses on a superconductor in a dielectric fluid

  • A. Barletta
  • E. Zanchini

The stresses which act on the surface of a superconductor surrounded by an isotropic dielectric fluid at rest are evaluated. Moreover, it is proved that there exists an infinite set of second-order tensors which yield these stresses. The magnetic Helmoltz stress tensor belongs to this set.
