Abstract

A learning curve derived by H. D. Landahl (Bull. Math. Biophysics,3, 71–77, 1941) from postulated neurological structures is shown to be derivable from simplified assumptions by introducing the information measure of the uncertainty of response. The possible significance of this approach to learning theory is discussed.
