Abstract
This is a report on tests carried out on concrete slabs reinforced with bonded steel sheet, where flexural stiffness and ultimate capacity were improved versus conventional r. c. slabs. In the case of sheet metal, which has biaxial strength properties, the steel is far better utilized than in that of the uniaxial reinforcing bars, hence the slab structure is more economical. Fire- and corrosion protection is provided by a 10 mm coating of fire-shield plaster (or some other insulating agent).
Résumé
On rend compte d’essais effectués sur des dalles de béton renforcées par des tôles d’acier collées, afin d’en améliorer la rigidité en flexion et la capacité portante. L’utilisation de l’acier est bien meilleure sous la forme de plaques ayant des propriétés de résistance biaxiale que sous celle de barres d’armature uniaxiale; la structure de dalles ainsi obtenues est plus économique. La protection à l’incendie et à la corrosion est procurée par un revêtement de 10 mm de plâtre spécial pour protection à l’incendie (ou tout autre produit similaire).
