Abstract
A novel air seal is described which provides a dry seal combined with low friction, high stability and very low leakage. A practical application of its use is described using the principle for the design of a dry spirometer. A further example of its use is indicated in the paper.

Cet article décrit un nouveau joint à air présentant un isolement sec, une faible friction, une haute stabilité et des fuites minimes. L'auteur décrit ensuite une application pratique dans laquelle le joint est utilisé sur un spiromètre sec. L'article décrit également une autre application de ce nouveau joint.
Zusammenfassung
Beschrieben wird eine neuartige Luftdichtung, die als Trockendichtung dient und geringe Reibung mit hoher Stabilität und äußerst niedrigem Leckverlust vereint. Es wird auf eine praktische Anwendungsmöglichkeit eingegangen, die sich das Prinzip für die Konstruktion eines Trockenspirometers zunutze macht. Ferner wird in dieser Abhandlung auf eine weitere Verwendungsmöglichkeit hingewiesen.
