Abstract

In the practical use of pacemakers there are still some problems, especially in regard to the state of the batteries. This paper describes methods and results obtained by discharging the mercury batteries (type RM1N) with constant current pulses of different duty cycles and amplitudes. Finally, the corresponding model in a steady-state condition is reported and the behaviour of the components of the model is illustrated during the lifetime of the batteries.

Sommaire
