Note on the periodic properties of biochemical systems represented by linear equations

Abstract

Simple linear systems in which there is a steady-state velocity may under some conditions have solutions which are periodic but damped. However, even under favorable circumstances it is not likely that the periodic property can be differentiated from a single overshoot because the effect of damping is so great.
