Abstract
A hybrid command system is described to control the action of an artificial heart. The command parameters are the venous oxygen saturation and atrial pressures for the control of heart rate at a simultaneous change of the ratio systole-diastole and stroke volumes of both halves of the artificial heart to achieve equilibrium in the cardiovascular system. This paper analyses haemodynamic ratios under physiologic conditions and states the controller transfer functions. The chosen controllers are tested on a model which employs an electronic analogue computer.

Dans ce rapport, les auteurs décrivent un système de commande hybride pour le contrôle de l'action d'un coeur artificiel. Les paramètres de commande sont la saturation des veines par l'oxygène et les pressions atriales servant à contrôler la vitesse cardiaque lors du changement simultané du rapport systole-diastole et du volume de battement des deux moitiés du coeur artificiel servant à obtenir l'équilibre du système cardiovasculaire. Cet article analyse les rapports haemodynamiques sous des conditions physiologiques et énonce les fonctions de transfert contrôlantes. Les contrôleurs choisis sont testés sur un modèle employant un ordinateur analogue électronique.
Zusammenfassung
In ihrem Bericht beschreiben die Verfasser ein Hybridenbefehlssystem zur Kontrolle der Tätigkeit des künstlichen Herzens. Befehlsparameter sind venöse Sauerstoffsättigung und Atriumdruck zur Kontrolle des Herzschlags bei einer gleichzeitigen änderung des Verhältnisses Systole-Diastole und des Schlagvolumens beider Hälften des künstlichen Herzens, um einen Ausgleich im Herz- und Gefäßsystem zu erzielen. Dieser Bericht analysier die haemodynamischen Verhältnisse unter physiologischen Bedingungen und gibt die Übertragungsfunktionen des Kontrollgeräts an. Die gewählten Kontrollgeräte werden en einem Modell geprüft, das mit einem elektronischen Analogrechner versehen ist.
