Abstract
Present standards of safety for electrical equipment used in hospitals are examined. The justification for these standards and reasons why many of them are unnecessarily restrictive are discussed.

Gegenwärtige Sicherheitsnormen für elektrische Geräte in Krankenhäusern werden untersucht. Die Rechtfertigung für diese Normen und die Gründe, warum so viele unnötig sind, werden diskutiert.
