A new simple detector for achilles reflex measurement

Abstract

A new simple method of detecting the Achilles Reflex is described. The method utilises a non-contacting capacitive technique. The results of, the instrument's clinical application in the study of thyroid disease are reported and its value for use as a screening test in hypothyroidism assessed.

On décrit une méthode nouvelle et simple pour la détection du Réflexe d'Achille. La méthode utilise une technique capacitive sans contact On présente les résultats de l'application clinicale de l'appareil dans l'étude de maladies de la thyroïde et sa valeur en tant qu'essai de discrimination dans l'hypothyroïdisme est évaluée.

Zusammenfassung

Eine neue, einfache Methode zur Anzeige des Achilles Sehnenreflexes wird beschrieben. Die Methode verwendet eine nichtleitende, kapazitive, Technik. Die, Ergebnisse klinischer Verwendung dieses Instruments in der Untersuchung von Schilddrüsenleiden werden berichtet und es wird seine Bedeutung bei Verwendung einer Ausleseprüfung für Hypothyreose beurteilt.
