A contribution to the stress-strain relationship of concrete

Abstract

A non-linear mathematical formula for the stress-strain relationship of concrete under short-term loading is presented. It is the result of an analysis based on numerous test results published by Rüsch in 1955. With the exception of the data shortly before fracture the theoretically predicted and experimental values almost coincide.

On présente une formule mathématique non linéaire de la relation contrainte-déformation du béton sous chargement de courte durée, qui découle d'une analyse fondée sur les nombreux résultats d'essai publiés par Rüsch en 1955. A l'exception des données obtenues peu avant la rupture, les valeurs prédites théoriquement et les valeurs expérimentales coïncident presque.
