Twin valve: A new approach to single ventricle

Abstract

A twin valve with two mounted homograft semilunar valves was designed and constructed aiming to replace the common atrioventricular valve, particularly in case with single ventricle.

This valve should provide a new surgical approach for the correction of single ventricle as well as complete form of persistent common atrioventricular canal.
