Abstract
The need for development of vertical sand drains arose at the experimental testing ground “Ol gino” in a suburb of Grounds are established for the applicability of a new criterion for selection of optimal design solutions, which is a composite of technical and economical characteristics. The procedure is based on probabilistic-statistical calculations of beds and foundations, and concretizes the regulatory requirement of the need for technicoeconomic comparison of alternate schemes.
