Abstract

In reconstructing the room occupied by the former printing office in one of the five-story brick frames of the former senate building, which was constructed from a design developed by architect K. I. Rossi, it was required to deepen the floor of the basement by 40 cm; this disturbed the existing waterproofing of the basement room. A number of structural measures that permit reliable waterproofing of the basement in the building, which is an architectural monument of the turn of the 19th century, have been developed and implemented.
