Summary
-
1.
Retinas of dog, cat, horse, cow, pig, sheep, guinea-pig and rabbit were histochemically checked for acid mucopolysaccharides by means of PAS-reaction, metachromatical dying and Astrablue-dying.
-
2.
All methods yielded a positive dying of an intercellular substance, in which the visual cells are imbedded.
-
3.
Because this substance was located in a retinal layer without blood vessels, it was concluded, that it is of significance for the retinal nutrition.
Zusammenfassung
-
1.
