Abstract
A case of sudden blindness of the left eye is reported in a girl 10 years of age with sphenoid sinusitis. Cerebral angiography revealed partial filling and luminal irregularity of the left ophthalmic artery. The angiographic findings in follow-up study remained the same whereas the sphenoid sinus became normal. The anatomic relations of the sphenoid sinus and the ophthalmic artery are reviewed since they offer an explanation for the angiographic findings.
