Abstract
3H-melatonin binding sites were found in the cell membrane fraction from the thyroid gland of Wistar rats and their kinetic characteristics were determined. The number of receptors and dissociation constant depend on the duration of daytime, which probably determines rhythmic fluctuation of the sensitivity of thyrocytes to melatonin.
