Reliability of semi-classical calculations for collisional lineshapes in thev 2 ammonia band

Summary

Diode laser measurements, recently published for self- and N2 broadening in thev 2 ammonia band, are proved in agreement with predictions of the semi-classical ATC theory. Discrepancies for the self-shifts calculated by other authors are also discussed.
