A model potential approach for the high-temperature expansion of liquid aluminium

Summary

Model potential method, in association with the optimized cluster theory, permits a calculation of hot-expanded-liquid-aluminium properties in good agreement with recent experimental results. The influence of the exchange-correlation correction introduced in the dielectric constant is investigated. Some theoretical results outside the present experimental range are also discussed.

Riassunto

Il metodo del potenziale modello, in associazione con la teoria dei grappoli ottimizzata, permette un calcolo delle proprietà dell'allumino liquido caldo espanso in buon accordo con i recenti risultati sperimentali. L'influenza della correzione di scambio-correlazione introdotta nella costante dielettrica è studiata. Si discutono anche alcuni risultati teorici al di fuori dell'attuale intervallo sperimentale.
