Effect of nitroglycerin on pharmacological properties of strophantinin vitro andin vivo

Abstract

Tests of nitroglycerin for its impact on pharmacological properties of strohanthinin vivo using two rat models of heart failure andin vitro on isolated frog atria showed that nitroglycerin does not alter the toxicity or the negative chronotropic action of strophanthin while somewhat weakening its cardiotonic effect.
