Biostereometrics in the study of the morphology of the lumbar sacral spine

Abstract

A method using stereoscopic X-rays to locate, mark and measure anatomical features on lumbar spines is described. Some of the results obtained from the X-ray analysis are verified by undertaking direct measurement of the macerated bones of the same specimens using a reflex microscope.
