Über eine neue Pupillenteilung des Krahn-Ophthalmometers

Summary

A new and improved geometrical division of the ophthalmometer entrance pupil is described, where the instrument's doubling device consists of plane parallel glass plates. A comparison is established between theHelmholtz andKrahn systems of dividing the pencil of light into two pencils. By means of a so-called strip division of the entrance and exit pupils the advantages of both methods can be combined.

Finally, the image astigmatism produced by the pair ofHelmholtz plane parallel plates, and the astigmatic image aberration caused by the reflection of the mires on the cornea, are mentioned, and their simultaneous compensation is described.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird eine neue und bessere geometrische Pupillenteilung für Ophthalmometer beschrieben, deren Bildverdoppelungssystem aus planparalellen Glasplatten bestehen. Dabei werden die Vor- und Nachteile der Helmholtzschen und Krahnschen Halbteilung der Pupille einander gegenübergestellt. Mit Hilfe einer sog. Streifenteilung von Ein- und Austrittspupille können die Vorteile der beiden genannten Halbteilungen vereinigt werden.

Schließlich wird der am Helmholtzschen Planglasplattenpaar entstehende Bildastigmatismus und der bei der Spiegelung der Meßfiguren an der Cornea auftretende astigmatische Bildfehler erwähnt, sowie deren gemeinsame Kompensation.
