Corrections to the Casimir force between plates with periodic roughness in the transition region

Abstract

Corrections to the Casimir force between two parallel plates with surface roughness described by a periodic function of two variables are considered. The variation in the corrections is considered in the transition region, where the period of the roughness is comparable with the distance between the plates.
