Summary
A rapid method for the determination of the exponential constant of ethanol-enhanced proton diffusion in yeasts has been developed. This method was based on Bromophenol Blue to monitor the acidification by energized yeast cells suspensions. This method is completely automated using a Beckman Biomek 1000 workstation.
