Zusammenfassung

Es werden zwei Verfahren der Skiaskopie beschrieben. Das erste Verfahren — vom Verfasser Lateral-Skiaskopie genannt basiert darauf, daß bei ihm die Lichtquelle oder das ganze Skiaskop senkrecht zur Verbindungslinie der Pupillenmitten von Prüfling and Beobachter verschoben wird. Beim zweiten Verfahren wird vor das Auge des Prüf-lings ein Fernrohr gesetzt and durch dieses hindurch skiaskopiert. Je nach Fernrohrvergrößerung wird dabei die Ametropie des Prüflings reduziert oder vergrößert.

Abschließend sind die theoretischen Grundgleichungen zur Fernrohrskiaskopie gegeben.

Summary

Two working methods in skiascopy (retinoscopy) are described. The first method-the author calls it “Lateral Skiascopy”—is based on the fact that the light source or with it the complete instrument is being shifted in a direction perpendicular to the communication line (axis) formed by the centers of the patient's pupil and that of the practitioner.

By the second method, a telescope is placed in front of the patient's eye through which the skiascopist observes. According to the telescopic magnification the patient's ametropy will be reduced or enlarged respectively.

Finally, it is referred to the fundamental equations of the theory of the telescope skiascopy.
