On the morphological and dynamic autonomy of the upper renal calyx
In this paper the author tries to make clear what he means by “autonomy of the upper calyx” and to explain its “syndrome”, which may represent the first of a series of pathological changes, the most severe of which seems to be hydrocalyx.
The “syndrome of the upper calyx” would stand for the first clinical expression of a morbid form with a remarkable functional feature, which when increasing may initiate the settling of many morbid processes due to the intervention of other pathogenetic agents, among which the last degree might be, on an exclusively congenital basis, the hydrocalycosis.
