Summary
Th. v. Kármán's method for supersonic steady flow around slender bodies of revolution is generalized in such a manner that solutions are available not only for bodies of revolution but also for indented bodies. This method is then applied to the wing body interference problem by reducing the reaction of the wing to a small deformation of the body.
