Summary
The present investigation deals with the influence on the trajectory of an artillery rocket of a wind variable in height. Under certain simplified conditions the effect is computed for the active and passive trajectory and it is shown how the two components can be combined into a single ballistic wind by means of suitable weight factors, into a wind, however, which must be defined differently for the longitudinal and the transverse directions.
