Summary

Some experimental results of force and base pressure measurements atM≈1,67 on conically pointed cylindrical bodies are presented and compared with the theory of supersonic flow around cones byTaylor-Maccoll, tabulated byKopal, also considering the viscous drag forces due to cross flow. Base pressure measurements are roughly analyzed.
