Coherence length and penetration depth of dirty superconductors

Abstract

The present paper is concerned with the properties of non-magnetic superconducting alloys, in the vicinity of the transition point. It is shown that to a good approximation the coefficients of the appropriate Landau-Ginsburg equation can be computed at all concentrations, by making use of simple sum rules. The final results depend only on the residual resistivity of the alloy in the normal state.
