Atomic Energy Aims and scope

Conclusions

Our investigations showed that the double-cut method is suitable for mechanical polarization of fuel assemblies. The investigations made it possible to develop turnkey industrial equipment for cutting spent fuel assemblies, having different geometries, with a maximum size of up to 170 mm. The cutting unit is operating successfully at the Industrial Association “Mayak.”
