Hydrotechnical Construction Aims and scope

Conclusion

When expanding or reconstructing existing hydraulic developments, it is necessary to utilize to the maximum possible extent the mechanical equipment available at the site, both for operation and for the construction and erection work. It is important to study this equipment carefully and, if necessary, to carry out full-scale investigations in order to determine its actual load-carrying capacity and operating reliability. In preparing the project for construction operations, account should be taken of the required organizational and construction measures for ensuring safe and comfortable construction conditions.
