Mössbauer spectroscopy of the intrablanket bitumen firing process

Abstract

Distribution of Fe-containing minerals in bitumen seams before and after combustion was studied in samples from two wells. The results obtained were used for characterizing the differences between combustion temperatures along the seam and for estimating the bitumen expulsion region.
