Conclusions

  1. 1.

The investigations carried out on the testing ground of the Sayano-Shushenskoe hydroelectric station, under conditions most closely approximating working conditions, showed the technical possibility of concrete placement in the open, without tent protection, at subzero air temperatures down to −20° to −30°C.

  2. 2.

For the open method of placing mass concrete blocks in hydrotechnical structures to be put into practice, special measures will have to be developed, taking into account the climatic and technological conditions for construction.
