Construction of the main concrete-conveying trestle at the Ust'-Ilim hydroelectric plant
Thanks to the correct vertical and horizontal disposition of the span of the main concrete-conveying trestle at the Ust'-Ilim hydroelectric plant, it was possible to introduce multipurpose mechanization and industrialization as well as a combined method for carrying out the concreting and erection work.
Construction of the concrete-conveying trestle at the Ust'-Ilim plant was highly economical, for it required a minimum quantity of materials. For this plant, only 4,600 tons of steel were fabricated; the remaining 25,500 tons was recovered from the Bratsk trestle.
The trestle spans previously used at the Bratsk plant, and later at the Ust'-Ilim plant, could be advantageously used again at the Boguchany hydroelectric plant.
