Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Experience at the Kiev hydroelectric power station concrete plant over a period of 15 months shows that the use of increased batches raised productivity by 25% and cut costs for the mix (not including materials) and the labor involved by 40%.

  2. 2.

    By taking the new technology into account when planning concrete plants designed for intensive output in the start-up year, it should be possible to make considerable savings simply by reducing the size of the plants as such.
