Abstract
Pelvic and paraaortal lymph nodes of 499 gynecologic cancer patients were screened for the occurrence of metaplastic changes and their topographic pattern. Glandular inclusions in lymph nodes were distributed evently across all lymphatic areas and there was no correlation to the extent and the kind of carcinoma. In most cases the benign nature of these inclusions was obvious even in the presence of metaplasias and there was no difficulty in differentiating them from metastases.
