Summary

Description of variations in bays and teeth of the ora serrata, some of which may be confounded with real retinal holes. Other anomalies of the ora serrata are described with special interest not only with regard to their developmental origin, but also their vitreoretinal relations. They may produce lesions of the retina by vitreous traction. Exact evaluation of vitreoretinal adhesions are possible only with slit-lamp examination.

Zusammenfassung

Es werden Varianten im Verlaufe der Ora serrata beschrieben, deren Kenntnis wichtig ist, weil sie mit echten Netzhautlöchern verwechselt werden. Im weiteren wird auf Gewebsanomalien eingegangen, deren besondere Beziehung zum Glaskörper und Gefäßen nicht nur theoretisch, im Hinblick auf Entwicklungsanomalien, interessant ist. Für den Kliniker sind sie bedeutungsvoll, weil vitreoretinale Adhäsionen durch Zug zu Läsionen der Netzhaut führen. Zur genauen Beurteilung der Glaskörper-Netzhaut-Beziehung ist die Spaltlampe unentbehrlich.
