Summary

  1. 1.

    The effects of adrenaline, phentolamine and vasopressin on the ophthalmodynamogram and the pressure in the carotid artery were investigated in anaesthetized cats.

  2. 2.

    The difference in pressure between the ophthalmodynamogram and the carotid artery was unaffected by vasopressin, increased by adrenaline and reduced again by additional injection of phentolamine.

  3. 3.

    It was concluded that the tone of adrenergicly innervated intraorbital muscles were responsible for these effects.

Zusammenfassung

  1. 1.

    An narkotisierten Katzen wurde der Einfluß von Adrenalin, Phentolamin und Vasopressin auf das Ophthalmodynamogramm und den Carotisdruck untersucht.

  2. 2.

    Die Druckdifferenz zwischen Ophthalmodynamogramm und dem Carotisdurck wird durch Vasopressin nicht beeinflußt, durch Adrenalin größer und durch zusätzliche Gabe von Phentolamin zu Adrenalin wieder kleiner.

  3. 3.

    Aus den Ergebnissen wird geschlossen, daß der Tonus der adrenerg innervierten intraorbitalen Muskulatur die ophthalmodynamographischen Messungen beeinflußt.
