From the Editor

An article by A. V. Shvetsov and others, entitled “Principal Provisions of New Standards for the Design of Concrete and Reinforced-Concrete Hydraulic Structures” was published in Gidrotekhnicheskoe Stroitel'stvo, No. 2, 1967. The editor is publishing a discussion by B. M. Lyubchenko, raising questions which, in his opinion, should be examined in developing general standards for hydraulic structures limit design, and should be reflected in new design standards for concrete and reinforced-concrete hydraulic structures. At the same time, the editor notes that certain statements of the author are debatable.
