The client is the Ministry of Reclamation and Water Management of the Ukrainian SSR; the general designer is the Ukrainian branch of the All-Union Planning, Surveying and Research Institute (Gidroproekt); the general contractor is the Dnepr Canal Construction Administration (Dneprkanalstroi) of the Main Administration for the Construction and Installation of Hydroelectric Power Stations in the Central and Southern Regions (Glavgidroénergostroi) of the USSR Ministry of Power and Electrification (Minénergo).
