Conclusion
The FU-2 filtering installation can be used for removing cement from the air current when the cement is conveyed pneumatically into relatively large containers, such as bins. For cleaning the air when discharging cement into smaller containers, such as consumption hoppers at concrete plants, the filter surface must be increased by 25–50%. For operation of the filtering installation as part of an air-separating installation, it is necessary to use parallel operation of two or more filtering installations included in tandem with cyclones, depending on the amount of air from which the cement is to be removed.
All containers to which the cement is transported should be equipped with automatic devices for control of the upper filling level, since when the container is overfilled the cement may fall into the settling chamber of the filtering installation and put it out of action.
