Conclusions
The data presented suggest the high efficiency of the application of the seismic method for studying the state and properties of rock in the surface section of construction trenches. The results of these studies are complete and enable us to collect rather rapidly information on variations in the properties of rock in the near-surface section of a mass during open-cut operations, to expose weakened sections, and to establish the parameters of a zone requiring additional excavation.
